Motichoor Modak 🥟
Ingredients • 1 cup besan • Water as required • Pinch of baking soda • Few drops of orange colour • Oil for frying • Make a thick batter using besan, water, baking soda & orange colour. Fry this in hot oil till crispy. Let it cool & then blitz for a couple of seconds to make into a powder. • 1/2 cup sugar • 1/3 cup water • 1 tsp elaichi powder • 1 tbsp melon seeds • 1 tbsp pista, chopped • Heat sugar & water together to form a simple syrup. Add in the elaichi powder, melon seeds, pista & the blitzed besan powder. Mix well till it comes together. Shape into modaks or any shape you like. Garnish with silver vark. Serve & dig in.!
