Sacredness in December
The holiday season is a time to embrace diversity and celebrate traditions from around the world. Let's remember the essence of the season—love, compassion, and unity. There's sacredness in the season. #revkarla #holidayseason #holidays #interfaith #faithtraditions #celebratediversity
Stay Awake and Use Your Voice
Those who attack wokeness are the ones who fear it. Those who fear you becoming educated are the ones who want to control you. Those who demand you be silent are the ones who believe only their voice matters. It’s a toxic narrative that leads to oppression. Stay awake. Use your voice. Become a catalyst for change. #revkarla #woke #vote #useyourvoice

Human Consciousness
I see you. You belong here. No one can take away your right to belong here. You are not a mistake. You are not a sin. Wrap yourself in the love of those of us who see, believe in, and love you. #revkarla #spiritualconsciousness #human #kindness #unchurched
Toxic Theology
I never knew how freeing spirituality outside of religion could be until I had deconstructed from…. an angry, vengeful God, a literal hell, a hyper-focus on salvation, a belief that I was morally or spiritually superior to others. Living spiritually independent from those theologies freed me to discover how others experience the Divine. I’ve never looked back. And I’m forever grateful. #revkarla #toxictheology #religion #unchurched
Deconstructing
Through healing and unlearning, we reclaim our autonomy and shape a spirituality that aligns with our truest selves. Write the Story...
The human story has never been static. It changes, grows, and evolves as the human consciousness awakens. Binding our story to a time in history and calling it finished ensures that someone will be left out. Someone will be harmed. Someone will be oppressed. The story continues. Each of us has a hand in writing it. May it continue to move us toward kindness and compassion. #revkarla #bible #biblicalinterpretation #toxictheology #compassion #kindness
Life Away From Religion
I won’t deny it. It is work. Hard work. But it was worth it. I learned more about myself deconstructing from my religious heritage than I ever learned in church. I learned more about spirituality deconstructing from my religious heritage than I ever discovered in church. And I healed the broken parts of me not only from my lived experiences—but from the harm church had caused. For me, the path to spiritual freedom was out the church doors. I’m forever grateful I heeded the call to leave.
Patriarchy
I spoke at length about this inside my Sacred Conversation: Reclaiming Your Spirituality. We spent time talking about deconstructing vs reclaiming your spirituality, and spiritual authenticity. Release Indoctrinated Beliefs
Those of us indoctrinated into a high-control religion were taught to believe that our judgment of others was not only our right—it was part of our responsibility as a “good Christian.” In thinking about my own religious experience, the sermons and Bible studies were often focused on our religion’s moral and spiritual superiority. Releasing those indoctrinated beliefs will free you from this toxic theology.
Broken Spirituality
It's time to release the need to judge others and focus on our own spiritual path. Judging others is a reflection of a broken spirituality. For it has always been between the spiritual seeker and God. #revkarla #spirituality #deconstructingchristianity #spiritualseeker
Inner Wisdom
It encourages us to seek guidance from within, to listen to the whispers of our soul. Let us celebrate the spiritual but not religious path as a sacred and valid way of seeking the divine. #revkarla #spiritualnotreligious #divinemystery #sacredpath #sacredpaths
