1. Keep your knees and hips and torso mostly still to isolate your back. You don’t want to compensate for a heavy weight by using the momentum from your hips and knees. Keep your body still and focus on your mind muscle connection with your back. Drop the weight if it’s too heavy to lift without momentum
2. Brace your core!! Always!! This helps to stabilize your torso and lift the weight efficiently and safely.
3. Scoop your elbow. Avoid pulling your elbow straight up ↕️ but instead with “scooping” motion bring your elbow back and up so you’re able to target the lats better. Stop when your elbow is past your torso
