This word search has twelve sports words: baseball, basketball, bicycling, dance, football, karate, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, volleyball. ANSWER KEY is included. The words go across or down. The words do NOT overlap. The words do NOT go diagonal. The words do NOT go backwards. *As a reading teacher, I know that young learners do not need to be confused by things that go backwards or the opposite direction that we typically read and write. Also, this puzzle is big, so there is a lot of blank space, which makes it easier for young learners. This puzzle has grid lines so students can color the boxes with crayons if they want. The word search could also be used at a literacy center. Just laminate the puzzle and the answer key. Keep the answer key in a brown envelope and students can check their own answers when they finish!! Word search has three levels.
