Very pretty sterling silver drop earrings which are made from an original hawthorn leaf. These are made by coating a hawthorn leaf with a paste containing particles of fine silver (99.9% pure silver ). This is then fired and the leaf and binder in the paste is burned away leaving the original organic piece in solid silver. This original is then cast to give a matching pair. A unique pair of earrings as leaves are never exactly the same. They have a pleasing shape and great detail. These are small drops measuring 1.8cms x 1.5cms with total drop from the ear of approximately 2.5cms. They come boxed with a small card explaining the process, making them a lovely present for a keen gardener or nature lover. Matching pendant available as separate listing.
