Rough Texture
Portrait with acrylic. First I primed the drawing surface with white paint. Using a graphite pencil, I began to sketch the portrait on an A4 sheet of cotton canvas on the rough texture. Then I primed the whole face and added the highlights and shadows colour by colour. Finally, I applied light-coloured acrylic paint to the background to create a strong contrast that makes the face stand out from the canvas.
