This piece is inspired by the ancient δαίμων (daemons). In Greco-Roman mythology, daemons were a type of entities whose function was to link the physical world of humans with the divine and spiritual world. They are incorporeal beings who guarded the lives of humans, also personified abstract and natural phenomena and served as messengers between worlds. These entities had a free will of their own and they were not driven by the dualistic conception of good and evil.
