Having chosen to create a modest scale residence on a very large lot the owners desired a natural foreground to the stunning vistas of the Pacific and Channel Islands. We created a large meadow with seasonal displays of wildflowers. The bold architectural details were emulated and extended to the landscape with unique rain chains and steel rainwater conveyances. Consisting primarily of drought tolerant California native selections, the planting is muted in color yet bold in gesture in deference to the pristine view.
