making a felt top hat with paper machs
This is my tutorial for making a 1:12 scale top hat. You need felt (I used crafting felt it's quite thin) UHU glue, ribbon, a piece of dowel and wood disc. I started by making a reusable hat form from the dowel and disc. At each stage when gluing ensure that the hat remains free from the hat form by sliding up and down. Use glue sparingly.
