Thanksgiving is tomorrow. To my hearing friends who are reading this: please make a special, concerted effort tomorrow to include your Deaf family members and friends in the conversation at the dinner table. "Dinner Table Syndrome" is real and isolating. Thank you for seeing us. And to my generationally Deaf friends who have hearing members who don't sign, it works both ways.
