Ties are cut on the stretchy bias of the fabric, and they’re usually made from lightweight fabrics, making them perfect for binding seams, neck holes or armholes. I love the idea of adding a little pop of color and print to your garment insides. 

Start by seam ripping the tie apart and pressing it flat. Measure the thinnest part of the tie to see what width you can fit - how wide you need to go and how much bias tape you can create depends on your specific project needs. I got two strips of 1.5 inch tape from this tie, totaling about 3.5 yards! Way more than I expected."
