Lena Leon | Elementary Music Teacher on Instagram: "Hey everyone!

This activity is inspired by the traditional Philippine dance, “Tinikling.”
Instead of using bamboo sticks, which could be hazardous 🙃for the kiddos, I opted for a Chinese jump rope 😉 that is basically a gigantic rubber band😁
I decided to craft and connect our academics of beat and rhythm to this cultural experience because I know a few students in these classes have families from the Philippines. Today, these kiddos shared in class stories of their parents dancing “Tinikling”at home, how cool is that!!!!!!✨✨✨
You could see their faces light up❤️🌎

Save this! Share with your music teacher bestie🫶🏼
