Why don't oil and water mix? It's a question kids love to explore! This easy experiment using simple supplies is a fun and colourful way to explore this science. The magic of colour mixing gives this experiment a special twist and wow factor. Plus the colour mixing provides greater understanding of the polarity differences between water and oil and how it affects their behaviour when they are mixed. #OilandWater #Science #WaterExperiment #Experiment #Elementary

What we need for this experiment:
👉 Glass
👉 Water
👉 Shopping card or bank card
👉 Small plastic container
👉 Small plastic or wooden balls (here we used wooden balls)

Science behind this :

The reason for this result is the phenomenon of ‘Adhesion’. Specifically, here we are talking about the adhesion power of the water molecules which is exerted on the cardboard and the glass.
This phenomenon takes place because the water molecules consist of two ends, one positive and another negative. This polarity leads to the attraction strength to the other materials too.
In the above-concluded experiment, the water molecules are attracted to the card. This leads to the adhering to it. This happens while c
