Horizon line photography

Once you understand the rule of thirds, you can learn to position your subject in any image so that the photo is both visually balanced and interesting.

#5: Vanishing Point occurs when most all lines are continuing in one direction and vanish in the distance. In this picture both the lines from the sky and field are all vanishing on the horizon line.

Question from Dermott, Drawing Academy student I'm having trouble determining the horizon level when drawing pictures in perspective. Is there a rule of thumb I can use to accurately locate the horizon line? ...
