When I started this (huge!) novel, all I knew about it was the love story between Dr. Zhivago and Lara. I had no idea it really was an examination of the complications of the Russian Revolution! So much history I've missed! I'm now knee-deep in Trotsky, Lenin, Stalin and the whole gang of Bolsheviks.
