As a big fan of DC comics I had to pick this design from Milton Glaser. Known as the "DC bullet' it made its first debut in the year 1977 and lasted to 2005. Classic icon for all DC comic collectors. What I consider this icon an upgrade from its predecessors is the choice of making the letters DC and the stars at a 45 degree angle. DC's logo in the past were all straight 90 degree angle, nothing too interesting. The 45 degree angle adds a dynamic flair to the logo just like the comics.
