Curved library

A modern library in China, with a round design and a shallow rooftop pool.

I have conceptualized this project so here is the story about this beautiful project. Step into serenity at this modern library, where Tadao Ando’s influence meets cozy ambiance. The curved wooden bookshelves seamlessly blend with circular stairs and arched windows, creating a sense of organic flow.

Since 1998 the Web Atlas of Contemporary Architecture

Next to the curved wall is the staircase to the bedroom floor. Originally, it was an old spiral staircase with a marble finish and no handrail. To update the stair and make it safe, the architects crafted railing from MDF board and extended it up and around the staircase opening.

MAD Architects, led by Ma Yansong, has announced the opening of the Cloudscape of Haikou on the southern tip of China. A unique urban public and cultural space for citizens and visitors to Haikou, this flowing, sculptural concrete form was named as one of the “most anticipated architecture projects of 2021” by The Times of London.
