The U.N. declared 2021 as “The International Year of Creative Economy for Sustainable Development”. Creative placemaking is an emerging strategy and process that will be at the heart of how this priority fulfills its potential. In 2011, the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) took that conversation to another level with a study about the use of art and culture to make communities more user-friendly.
