Community preschool theme

A planned week of preschool activities to play, learn and create for the theme of our community featuring the book All Are Welcome.

Community helpers and fire safety is one of my favorite units to teach. I love to see children making connections to their community. Fire Safety Week is a great time to introduce community helpers. Fire Safety can be a scary topic can become hyper focused on things that scare them. It is nice to be able to talk about it for a few days and then change the subject to a new community helper.

This week we are focusing on community helpers. These free preschool lessons at home are wonderful for pre-k and kindergarten students. Each day includes free printable activities, too. We are going to look at all of the helpers who keep our communities safe, healthy, well-fed, and educated.
