Often referred to as "Cattle of Kings", the ancestry of these cattle dates back more than 6,000 years. They were imported from Africa by European zoos during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Cattle may be spotted or solid. The horns are long and symmetrical with a base large and proportional to horn length. The cattle tolerate temperature and weather extremes well. Ankole-Watusi are an African cattle, and they're a pretty impressive sight. On the morning I took these, there was a strong sunlight coming from behind the cattle, and a steep ridge behind them, casting a shadow over the background. I exposed for the highlights, and deepened the shadows in Lightroom, and am left with these rim-lit results. I don't think they're perfect.
