Meet Dawn Trimble | @dawnmtrimbleart
Dawn is an artist, designer, and writer whose art connects to the vulnerability of humanity. Forever interested in intricate spatial design and the sensitivity of human emotion, Dawn tests these complexities through abstraction. She purposefully breaks away from traditional watercolor technique to instead engage the intimacy of emotion. Seeking spatial harmony and composition, she translates emotion by creating intense and saturated moves that compliment the more ethereal and quiet ones.
black and white photo of artist David McConochie, sitting with legs crossed in dark overalls in his studio. 2nd image is an abstract painting of a city street featuring a red café with yellow lanterns in the foreground and midrise apartments in the background. Quote from the artist is overlaid: "I like to engage the viewer on an emotional level and hopefully create some sort of gut reaction to looking at an image."
Behind the Artist: David McConochie
We sat down with David to learn more about what inspires his bold, bright work (and why he decided to be an artist instead of an astronaut 🚀) Read his interview, or discover David's work at Great Big Canvas.
