Gel Printing Trash Or Treasure: Vegetable Netting
Repurpose the netting that comes with onions or lemons and use it as a texture tool for monoprinting! Gelli Arts® artist Birgit Koopsen loves the organic texture it creates. She shows how you can use the netting to apply texture to the open spaces of a stencil. Steps: Place the netting on top of the wet acrylic paint on the Gelli® plate, top it with a sheet of copy paper and carefully rub it. After removing the netting and the stencil, leave the paint to dry completely before adding the second layer of acrylic paint to pull the print. Gel-printed papers are perfect for any paper crafting, memory-keeping or cardmaking project. Printing plates and Gelli Arts® stencils are available via GelliArts.com! #gelliarts #gelplate #printingplate #monoprinting #printmaking #gelliplate
