MADSEN, CHRIS (1851-1944)
Chris Madsen (February 25, 1851 – January 9, 1944) was a lawman of the Old West who is best known as being one of The Three Guardsmen, the name given to Madsen and two other Deputy US Marshals who were responsible for the apprehension and/or killing of several outlaws of that era. The Three Guardsmen were Madsen, Bill Tilghman, and Heck Thomas.

Piestewa was the first Native American woman in history to die in combat while serving with the U.S. military and the first woman in the U.S. armed forces killed in the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Virgil Walter Earp July 18, 1843 – October 19, 1905..rare photo he was 16. Virgil Earp was the older brother of Wyatt Earp and Tombstone City Marshal at the time of the famous gunfight at the O.K. Corral in 1881. After suffering from pneumonia for six months, Virgil died in the town of Goldfield, Nevada. His remains were sent to Portland, Oregon at the request of his daughter Nellie Jane Bohn and buried at the River View Cemetery, the state’s oldest nonprofit cemetery, dating back to 1882.
