The kris, (or keris) in the Indonesian languages, is an Indonesian asymmetrical dagger, both weapon and spiritual object, with distinctive blade-patterning achieved through alternating laminations of iron and nickelous iron (pamor). Of Javanese origin, the kris is famous for its distinctive wavy blade, although many have straight blades as well, and is one of the weapons commonly used in the pencak silat martial art, native to Indonesia.

Indonesian Handmade Rangda Mask. A fantastic example of a Topeng Balinese face mask. The Topeng dance tells stories of kings and noblemen from mythology. Depending on the various masks used, these stories are often humorous or have a moral twist. Rangda has a huge red tongue, sharp fangs, bulging eyes and a devilish look. She is a witch who was expelled from the kingdom because she practiced black magic, worshiped the goddess of war and asked the help of demons and bad spirits from the jungle to fight the king. Masks are hand carved by the Undagi Tapel people from local wood. This is an excellent example of a Rangda mask carefully hand painted with fine attention to detail. Can be hung on a wall.
