1909-D $5 Gold Half Eagle Indian Head AU55 NGC
Quarter Eagles originally first came about by the Act of April2, 1792. Each eagle was to weigh 67.5 grains of .9167 of fine gold. At a later date the weights were alters to be 64.5 grains of .8992 fine gold by the Ace of June 28, 1834. Dates prior to this Act of June 28, 1834 are incredibly scarce & considered rarities amongst gold collectors.

The 1622 8 Reales Atocha shipwreck coin: In the fall on September 22nd 1622 King Philip IV’s fleet was off the coast of Florida in a intense storm when they hit a reef and sank. Many people died and an immense amount of treasure was lost to the ocean. After nearly 400 years the shipwreck was found by Mel Fisher in 1985. It is likely that many pieces from the wreck have still not been recovered and are lying on the ocean floor undiscovered.

Silver Franklin Half Dollar and Mercury Dime Pendant / Ornament
Someone created this pendant or ornament using one 1/2 dollar and 9 mercury dimes. The mercury dimes date from 1937- 1944. Pictured as received from a local estate. Very good estate condition with minimal wear indicative of age. Items will be cleaned but natural patina will be preserved if applicable. The green on the back will be removed before shipping. Polishing to near new is always FREE upon request!

In the 1960s, a massive amount of original mint bags of Morgan dollars were discovered in the US Treasury vaults, including Carson City issues once thought rare. Individuals purchased large quantities of the pieces at their face value and hoarded them for years, eventually the Treasury stopped exchanging silver certificates for the silver coins.
